My name is Dr. Emre Soylu, a Dubai-licensed physician and medical aesthetics practitioner based in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Over the past several years, I have developed and refined my own hyaluronic acid injection approach for atrophic scar correction, known as the Repetitive Superficial Scar Filler Technique (RSSFT). The technique is based on highly controlled, superficial injections of cross-linked hyaluronic acid directly into individual atrophic scars, with the objective of achieving precise structural correction while maintaining a strong safety profile.
The depressed appearance caused by scars can be reduced with hyaluronic acid, making the skin look smoother. The duration of one session may last up to 3 hours depending on the number, spread, and depth of the scars. The pain felt during the procedure usually does not exceed 3-4-5 out of 10. Redness and swelling on the skin due to the procedure usually heal in 7-14 days; rarely it may last up to 28 days. The success rate of the treatment varies depending on the type and depth of scars and the skin structure. It can be applied in every season. The permanence of hyaluronic acid in the face may vary depending on the person’s metabolism, autoimmune diseases, and medications used. Recent scientific studies have shown that hyaluronic acid treatment for acne scars lasts at least 2 years and may create a permanent effect.
To date, I have performed more than 700 scar filler treatment sessions and have individually injected over 150,000 atrophic acne scars using this approach. Throughout this extensive clinical experience, I have not encountered any intravascular complications related to the technique.
A major focus of my work has been the systematic documentation of long-term clinical outcomes. I currently have patients with follow-up periods extending to approximately 25 months. Outcomes are documented through standardized clinical photography as well as reverse-lighting video assessment, which enables detailed visualization of scar contours and surface irregularities under different lighting angles. In selected patients, I have documented greater than 90% clinical improvement, with results remaining highly satisfactory during long-term follow-up.
My clinical work and technique have also gained significant international academic exposure. I presented RSSFT and its clinical outcomes at the N-Days Neauvia Meeting in Rome in 2025, followed by the IMCAS World Congress 2026 in Paris and IMCAS Asia 2026. In addition, I presented my technique at the Neauvia Jakarta Meeting in 2026, where I shared my clinical experience, treatment methodology, and long-term outcomes with an audience of more than 50 physicians. I was also selected as a speaker for IMCAS China 2026 in Shanghai, although I was unable to attend due to visa-related circumstances. Later this year, I am scheduled to present RSSFT and its long-term clinical outcomes as a speaker at AMWC Southeast Asia 2026 in Bangkok. These international invitations and presentations have provided opportunities to introduce RSSFT, its treatment methodology, and its long-term clinical outcomes to physicians and aesthetic medicine professionals from diverse international backgrounds.
The international interest in my work has also translated directly into my clinical practice. To date, I have personally treated patients who travelled to Türkiye from more than 30 different countries specifically for scar treatment.
Beyond my international patient base, the geographic reach of inquiries regarding my technique has expanded considerably. Through my professional Instagram and WhatsApp channels, individuals from more than 80 countries have contacted me seeking information about RSSFT and atrophic scar treatment. I have documented this international reach through country-based records and screenshots of these inquiries, which I have also shared through my professional social media account. (@dr.emresoylu).
